If you live at Draycott Avenue this is a chance to have your say on what planting you'd like to see in your area. • What's happening now

We have received recent reports of fresh rat holes appearing in the areas that we are planning to improve. We want to be confident that any works do not contribute to the rat problem. We are working with our pest control contractor to understand what the root cause of the problem is, and where these rats are coming from. We need to complete this before we commit to any further works on the flowerbeds. We believe this is vital in ensuring we get this right first time.

We will update you by 30 April 2025 with progress.

  • The final vote has closed

    supporting image

The second round of voting has closed and the choice that received the most votes was 'Option 1- Keep it natural/flowerbeds, no concrete/paving/slabs'.

Our Estates team are now working with potential contractors to finalise the plans. We will be in contact with residents again to update you and confirm a plan for the works. We aim to update you with more details by 1 April 2025.

  • Final vote live!

As the result of the last vote was so close, we would like to offer all residents a final vote to confirm the overall favourite from the two most popular options. Please vote to have your say on what you would like the flowerbeds to look like.

  • Consultation Update

We are continuing to work on the plans for the communal flower beds around Draycott Avenue. We’ve been in contact with several contractors to gather quotes and designs based on your feedback.

In January 2025, we will be reaching out to you again with a final consultation on whether you would like the beds to be planted, or to include a mixture of plants and paving slabs. Once this is finished, we will be able to give clear dates on when we expect the work to be completed.

Please note, the building work in your area will need to be finished before we start work on the communal flower beds. We also need to wait for the weather to improve, to give the plants the best chance of survival.

We thank you for your patience, and will be in touch again in January.

  • Creating the design

We're continuing to work with contractors and are waiting for their final designs. We will update you again by 30 November.

  • Voting results

Thank you to everyone that took part in the recent vote about the proposed work on the flowerbeds around Draycott Avenue. It was a close outcome, with only one vote between the top two.

    Most voted for:

Idea 1: Keep it natural/flowerbeds – no concrete/paving/slabs. There would be soil between the plants. Plants would be colourful, yet easy to maintain.

Idea 4: Mixture of paving slabs and sunken beds. Plants would be colourful, yet easy to maintain.

As it was such a close vote, we plan to meet contractors and discuss these two ideas during October. We will then ask the contractors to draw up two designs for residents to have a final vote on. Once the contractor has completed these designs, we will be in contact with you again.

  • Voting open!

Voting on the proposals will take place between 1 Sept - 23 September 2024. Vote here or call us on 0303 123 1890

  • Ideas board closed

The ideas board has now closed and the drop in session has taken place.

We're currently using your ideas to create some proposals that you'll have the opportunity to vote on.

We'll be in touch in again to share the proposed ideas and tell you how you can vote.
